After finding his father murdered, Maxwell Lord developed a new life motto - Power corrupts. And absolute power, corrupts absolutely. - this develops into the belief that those with super powers will always abuse their gifts, heroes and villains alike. So when Maxwell started developing his own super powers, it's only natural that he didn't trust them. Will Maxwell ever learn what it means to be truly in control of his powers?
